GARDENS and TERRACES in TUSCANY

Gardens and lawns vary greatly and are generally "wilder" than in many other countries. It's also quite unusual in Tuscany to find a horizontal garden area since many houses are built on steep hillsides. An exception to these observations is "Villa Albertina", located near Montespertoli. Villa Albertina  and is surrounded by extensive grounds and gardens and grounds where the swimming pool is situated.

At many Tuscan vacation rentals, the role of garden is played by a terrace with potted plants and, usually, a good view. Garden chairs and a table with a sun umbrella are normally provided, sometimes assigned to individual apartments, should there be more than one. A barbeque might also be available.

Deck chairs are usually available in the area of the swimming pool.
